100% local. No account required.

The whole page,
exactly as it looked.

Full-page screenshots that never leave your browser. Capture, crop, annotate, and export to PNG or PDF — nothing is uploaded, and nothing needs an account, for any of it.

Features

opencapture/capture

Every page, one image. Full-page capture stitches the entire page — however long — into a single PNG or PDF, with no visible seams between bands.

opencapture/annotate

Mark it up before you save it. Crop to what matters, draw and add text, blur anything private. Undo covers every step, so nothing is permanent until you export.

opencapture/watermark

One feature costs credits. Tiling a logo or text watermark across an export is a Supporter feature — 1000 credits, once, no subscription. Every other tool stays free.

Built to need nothing from you but the page you already have open.

Local. Every capture is rendered and edited on your machine. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to buy credits.

Free. Capture, crop, annotate and export — all of it, for Chrome and Firefox, at no cost and with no account.

Honest. One feature is paid, and it says so before you touch it: 1000 credits, once, clearly marked.

Pricing

Free for everything except one feature.

Credits are shared across the OpenApps family and bought through your OpenApps account — by card, crypto, or Lightning.

Questions

Before you install it.

What is OpenCapture?
A browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that captures a full page as a single image, then lets you crop, annotate, and export it — entirely on your device.
Is OpenCapture free?
Yes. Capture, crop, annotate, redact, undo, and export are free for everyone, with no account required. The only paid feature is the tiled watermark tool, a one-time 1000-credit Supporter unlock.
Does OpenCapture upload my screenshots anywhere?
No. Every capture is rendered and edited locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server unless you choose to buy credits for the Supporter unlock.
What does the Supporter unlock include?
A tiled logo or text watermark across your exports, with adjustable opacity, position, and angle. It costs 1000 credits, paid once through your OpenApps account, and never expires.
Which browsers does OpenCapture support?
Chrome and Firefox, both under Manifest V3.
Is OpenCapture open source?
Yes, the core extension is licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later. The watermark module is a separate, proprietary component.
What formats can I export to?
PNG or PDF.

Take a screenshot of the whole page, not just what fits.

Free to install, free to use for everything but one feature — and that one is optional.
